Whether it’s writing about a near-death-experience, acts of sorcery, an extraterrestrial abduction or a malevolent poltergeist, Christopher Chacon is one writer who brings more to his creations then just his extraordinary imagination. Chacon is a cutting edge writer/director/producer for television and film who also happens to be one of the world’s foremost experts and authorities on the paranormal, metaphysics and the occult. He is a former operative with The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.), an elite international agency that investigates and researches every type of paranormal phenomena and anomaly imaginable—from ghosts and demonic possessions to encounters with strange unknown creatures to super psychic phenomena, like telepathy and psychokinesis. The O.S.I.R. is made up of scientists, researchers, professors and experts from corporations, private institutions and government agencies. Because this agency is the only one of its kind in the world that follows the ultimate scientific methodology and adheres to an unprecedented level of confidentiality and secrecy, they receive cases of phenomena that are unequaled by any in the world today. Additionally, because of the their credibility, O.S.I.R.’s client base consists of a wide variety of individuals, dignitaries and organizations—from government agencies and religious institutions to major corporations.

According to Chacon, the key to O.S.I.R.’s research is their incomparable analytical method of investigating. Applying the “Oberver Effect”, a key factor relating to Heisenberg’s theories, the O.S.I.R. have effectively devised their own next-generation technique of conducting research and investigations which are unparalleled in the world today. Aware of the fact that one’s belief-systems could influence and alter perceptions cognitively, they approach each case unbiased and scientifically. The O.S.I.R. utilizes the most sophisticated state-of-the-art technology, coupled with the top scientific minds covering every field of discipline from astrophysics to neurology, from psychology to zoology. In addition to Chacon’s specialized training with the agency and his expertise in Behavioral Psychology, he was also a member of a variety of prestigious scientific organizations, including, The American Association for the Advancement of Sciences, The Society for Scientific Exploration and The Center for Science Education.

While with the O.S.I.R., of the thousands of cases investigated by Chacon, 70 to 80 percent were concluded to have rational explanations. Therefore, another 20 to 30 percent were documented as “real anomalous phenomena” which cannot be categorized by modern science and defied the known laws of nature and physics. “One situation”, says Chacon, “had us tracking and monitoring an anomalous concentration of intense energy moving throughout the environment. While its behavior may have appeared at the surface to be irrational and random, because of its bizarre fluctuating affects, we were able to track this phenomenon for several months and eventually determine that it indeed possessed a complex, although completely unorthodox, intelligence.”

When asked if demons do exist, Chacon responded, “Anything is possible! In fact, on the first 100 cases of demonic possession and exorcism with the O.S.I.R., I had yet to have encountered a true atheist who had been possessed. Since we are able to meticulously analyze subjects psychologically and physiologically in these situations, my personal preliminary data pointed to the importance of belief systems and the subsequent manifestation of these phenomena. Based on this, one could theorize that some type of conscious or subconscious belief in evil had to exist for it to manifest itself as real or imaginary. However, after investigating hundreds more cases of demonic possession and exorcism, I encountered some situations where belief systems had absolutely no possible connection to the phenomena. This included one case that took us to a secluded island in the South Pacific where the subject, as well as the entire community, had absolutely no basis or exposure to such beliefs in evil.” Chacon adds, “Then again, outside of a scientific procedure, how we interpret the phenomena is also a huge part of this as well. What might be considered evil or demonic to one person, could very well be a simple miscommunication between the phenomena and the experiencer. When a wild animal attacks a human, the animal is often seen as being the violent threat and perhaps even evil, when the animal may simply be acting out its natural instincts based on the environmental conditions.”

Over the years Hollywood has had a fascination with the paranormal and the supernatural. When thinking of ghosts, the movies that come to mind include, “Poltergeist”, “AmittyVille Horror”, “Ghost”, “House on Haunted Hill”, “The Sixth Sense” and “The Others”. With extraterrestrials, “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, “Independence Day”, “Signs” and even the recent SciFi/Speilberg mini-series, “Taken”. Whether it is strange creatures, like the new M. Night Shymylan movie, “The Village”, or conscious-altering psychic phenomena like, “Firestarter” or “The Butterfly Effect”, paranormal themes continue to be hot sellers in the movies and on TV. Even such mega-blockbuster hits as “Harry Potter” and “The Lord of the Rings” are based around supernatural practices and phenomena. Recent Gallop polls show that there appears to be no end in sight for the popularity of these themes as more and more people worldwide become fascinated, crossing all generations and social barriers.

Chacon is most notably known as the creator, writer and executive producer for the TV series, “PSI Factor”, starring Dan Aykroyd, Michael Moriarity and Matt Frewer. He is also currently regarded as one of the highest authorities and experts regarding paranormal and supernatural phenomena, anomalies and metaphysics and particularly mysticism and sorcery, Chacon has made countless radio and TV appearances on everything from NBC Network News to Unsolved Mysteries, from National Geographic Explorer to Eye to Eye with Connie Chung.

Chacon writes and creates from an area of expertise and experience that no other writer, director or producer can equal. His many investigations, expeditions and research studies have taken him all over the world to directly encounter phenomena and settings that are usually only experienced in the imaginations of those who create in this genre. Based on various confirmed sources of information, some of the fascinating settings experienced by Chacon while with the O.S.I.R. include everything from the legendary Area 51 to the super-top secret high-tech research labs of Vatican, deep below the catacombs of Vatican City. And while Chacon is no longer with the O.S.I.R., his incomparable experience and expertise has him in high demand, receiving hundreds of calls a month for his assistance and help in dealing with volatile paranormal events. In between his work on films and television, he selectively takes on few cases every month, in addition to his ongoing world expeditions exploring ancient mystical phenomena. So in this day and age where based-on movies and reality TV rule, Chacon ads yet another powerful and intriguing dimension to his already imaginative creations that no other writer, director or producer can present, “realism” in the ever-fascinating and mysterious world of the paranormal and supernatural.
